Apple’s new iBooks to teach children in a whole new interactive way is gaining lots of popularity and that too very rapidly. They announced the iBooks 2 textbooks store in last week on Thursday and the current number of downloads are just above what was expected and same was expected with the iBooks Author for Macs.
Global Equities Research, who are monitoring the sales of Apple’s iBook downloads thru their private tracking system said that a whopping number of 350,000 textbooks downloads were recorded in first three days from the iBooks 2 Store.
90,000 were the number of downloads for iBooks Author, which is Apple’s free textbook maker kit within the same time of the three days. If what is recorded is accurate than is termed as the positive thing for Apple. The textbooks are something Apple is keen on its sales as iBook is free but the textbooks will cost.
As per to Global Equities Research the market range of these textbooks is recorded from 33 to 35 percent. The whole credit of sales goes to iBooks as the normal textbooks sales are whopping 80 percent less than the usual ones. And these books will be directly be available to children instead schools and colleges giving it to students separately every year and passing the books to other students. Trip Chowdhry, the analysts at Global Equities Research said, ‘this is the mantra of Apple’s success in the industry of textbooks.
