Mac Users Faced Problem In Running Java Programs

Some of the Mac user might have come across the problem when suddenly their device have stopped running the programs written in the Java programming language on Thursday, when Apple blocked the program such as Java due to some of the security programs.

appleJava allows the users or the programmers to program or write wide variety of the Internet applications and various other software programs and later allows them to run on their computers, which include the device such as Mac from Apple. However, in the starting of the month U.S. dept. of the Homeland Security suggested disabling the Java programs on Web browsers to avoid the risk or threat of the potential attacks of hacking.

Oracle Corp. that owns the Java has now issued some updates that can fix the known vulnerabilities, however, the some of the DHS expects that still there might be few more flaws in the coding of Java.

Apple sends some virtual blacklists to the Internet connected devices like Macs, suggested them not to run some of the programs. Apple is also blocking the new versions of the Java programs from getting operated on its latest versions of the Mac OS and blocked the older version such as Java 6 from getting run on older version of the Mac system referred as Snow Leopard. The restriction affects the programs and the online games which uses the Java in the Web browsers.

However, Oracle has still not commented on this action of Apple.
Among those who got affected by this unannounced block was photo department of The Associated Press that relies on the Java application to distribute and manage photos.

This situation also caught us by huge surprise and numbers of the machines could not run for some time but now we had sufficient capability to the work around this trouble in meantime, stated Paul Colford, the spokesperson of AP. He further added that they are expecting the the problem will get resoled very soon.
