MakerBot Announced Replicator 2X With Attractive Features

We all knew that very soon we will get Replicator 2X and MakerBot did not disappointed us. The name was announced in the month of September last year and yesterday MakerBot introduced this device in a press conference at CES.
This latest printer is high-end version of Replicator 2. Similar to the initial version, this new device also has excellent printing resolution as compare to the original Replicator from MakerBot, along with the redesigned chassis. If we discuss about the updated features of the device then it has excellent polished-looking styling and design and a platform made up of aluminium base and the print area is very much enclosed with plastic windows. The main benefit of it is that of offers much more retention to heat as compares to open chassis that allows much faster as well as reliable printing.
This device also feature option for dual colour printing option as well as is capable of printing both acrylonitrile butadiene styrenes (ABS) and Polylactic acid (PLA). The device is also very much popular for 3D printing for the hobbyists.
The MakerBot has introduced Replicator 2 very next day of the release of the competitor 3D systems that announced it very own printer with high-end 3D, referred as CubeX. The CubeX support the ABS and PLA and is available with configurations, which allows the users to print with three different colours. MakerBot’s Replicator 2X is available at the cost of $2,799, single-colour CubeX is available with price tag of $ 2,499 and the scales up to around $3,999 for model delivering three colour print.
The device is not the only new thing from MakerBot but it is also planning to manufacture and introduce its own print material for printing with an aim to expand colour selection.
The firm also announced new API for the Thingiverse Website which hosts the user-made design and style files for the printable objects. With the introduction of API, the MarketBot staed that user can create their applications for tapping into Thingiverse thing library. The firm also stated that the community member ahs customizer app which makes this easy for all individual without the CAD training that has been introduced with printable design.
The shipping of the Replicator 2 will start in the coming mid march.
